Hasto's Story When Residential Of The KPK Detention Center: Teach Sports Prisoners While Singing Mandatory Songs

The Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto underwent his first examination after being officially detained by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) regarding the alleged bribery in the management of interim replacement (PAW) and the obstruction of the investigation today, Wednesday, February 26. He had told that he was accepted by the prisoners.

"I was very well received by other prisoners, red and white citizens," said Hasto to reporters at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta.

Because it was received, Hasto even admitted that he received a lot of help from other prisoners when he entered the isolation cell. "Then I also gave a fighting spirit about the satyam eva Jayate that the truth will win," he said.

Not getting there, Hasto admitted that his life in the detention center had also become more orderly. In the morning, for example, the time has been filled with sports activities.

When exercising, continued Hasto, he used it to spread the spirit of nationalism. "When I first saw sports friends I felt less enthusiastic, then I taught them to exercise together while singing mandatory songs. Again Maju Tak Gentar, then Pancasila, Garuda Pancasila, all the songs we must sing together," said the politician.

"Even now, every morning when you listen to the anthem Indonesia Raya, all stand with the perfect attitude to promote the spirit of nationality that the Republic of Indonesia is built with the aspirations to fight for true justice based on Pancasila," he continued.

On that occasion, Hasto also advised PDIP cadres to remain enthusiastic. "Stay calm, keep all fighting spirit, take care of Mrs. Megawati Soekarnoputri," he said.

Previously reported, PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto was officially detained in connection with the bribery case for the interim replacement (PAW) of members of the DPR RI and the obstruction of the investigation on Thursday, February 20. He will occupy the State Detention Center Branch of the Class I State Detention Center in East Jakarta for 20 days and can be extended according to the needs of investigators.

Hasto was charged with Article 21 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Corruption Crimes Jo. Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code.

As for the bribery case related to PAW, members of the DPR RI, the process will be carried out simultaneously. This is because the investigation warrant (sprindik) issued on December 23, 2024, focuses more on the application of Article 21.
