Fish Corruption Case, Purwakarta Diskanak Official Becomes A Suspect

The District Attorney (Kejari) of Purwakarta Regency, West Java has named two suspects in the alleged corruption case within the Purwakarta Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Service (Disanak).

"The two suspects are an official from the Purwakarta Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Service and another provider," said Head of the Purwakarta Kejari Martha Parulina Berliana as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, February 25.

The Purwakarta Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Service official named the suspect has the initials IR as the Commitment Making Officer at the service. Meanwhile, the provider has the initials DER.

Martha explained, in accordance with the investigation, the two suspects jointly carried out allegations of corruption in the procurement of facilities and infrastructure for empowering small-scale fish cultivators to 31 fish cultivators in Purwakarta at the local Livestock and Fisheries Service in 2023.

The contract value in the procurement of small-scale fish cultivation facilities and infrastructure reached Rp2,265,430,609.

The activity or project, whose budget comes from the 2023 State Budget, was carried out by CV Mawar Indah. The suspect with the initials DER is the Director of CV Mawar Indah, whose address is in Central Nagri, Purwakarta.

Meanwhile, the value of state losses in this case almost reached Rp. 1 billion from the budget allocation for the procurement of fish cultivation facilities and infrastructure.

He said, even though his party had named two suspects in the case. However, the investigation process is still ongoing.
