Woman Gets Robbed At BKT East Jakarta, Hands Get Sickle, Yamaha Knowledge Is Taken Away

JAKARTA - A woman with the initials RW (28) reported to the Police after being a victim of a robbery carried out by three unknown people in East Jakarta that occurred on Sunday night.

"The violent theft occurred on Sunday (14 February) at around 21.00 WIB, then it was only reported to the Polda Metro Jaya on Sunday, February 23, 2025 at 14.55 WIB," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi in his statement in Jakarta, Monday, February 23.

Ade Ary explained that the robbery incident occurred on Jalan Inspeksi Banjir Kanal Timur (BKT) Duren Sawit Village, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta.

"The incident began when the victim was riding a motorcycle and then the perpetrators grabbed three people riding two motorbikes," he said.

Then one of the perpetrators carried a sharp weapon, a sickle, brandishing the weapon at the victim.

"One of the perpetrators also elbowed the victim until he fell, then the perpetrators immediately took the motorbike and the victim's bag," said Ade Ary.

The victim suffered injuries to the left finger and pain in the left hand area.

"The victim suffered a loss of one unit of a Yamaha fire motorcycle Lx 155 S No. Pol: B 5572 TTV in 2024 is red," said Ade Ary.

He also explained that currently the case has been investigated by the East Jakarta Metro Police.
