Landslides In Bandar Lampung, Couples Died Buried In Houses

The heavy rain that flushed Bandar Lampung, since Friday night, February 21, 2025, at around 23.00 WIB, caused landslides in Tanjung Karang Barat District.

This natural disaster claimed the lives of husband and wife, Haryadi Prabowo and Rosmaini, after their house collapsed by a landslide.

The Head of Public Relations of the Lampung Police, Kombes Pol. Yuni Iswandari, revealed that the bodies of the two victims were found by the evacuation team on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 05.00 WIB.

"There were two residents who were victims of the landslide. We managed to evacuate the bodies of the two after they were buried in their houses," said Kombes Pol. Yuni Iswandari.

He explained that the landslide occurred due to the back wall of the house being crushed by soil material. At the time of the incident, Haryadi and Rosmaini were in the kitchen and did not have time to save themselves.

The Head of Public Relations of the Lampung Police, two of their children, who were in the room when the disaster occurred, managed to survive. Currently, both of them have been evacuated to the family.

Meanwhile, the bodies of their parents were taken to the hospital for further processing. The authorities appealed to residents in areas prone to landslides to be more vigilant, especially when heavy rains fell.
