Police Arrest Porn Video Seller Via Telegram With Profit Of IDR 80 Million

JAKARTA - The police arrested a man with the initials CSH selling thousands of pornographic photos and videos via Telegram social media. Head of Sub-Directorate 3 of the Metro Jaya Police Directorate, Kompol Alvin, said the perpetrator was arrested in the Karawang area, West Java, January 31.

"From the results of the investigation team, 13,336 content was obtained, electronic information in the form of images and videos related to the victim were children," Alvin told reporters at Polda Metro Jaya, Friday, February 21.

Alvin explained that CSH actors sell pornographic content on Telegram social media with their @ovy account. On this account, CSH creates eight channels, one of which specifically contains child porn content. There is even pornographic video content that is 7-10 years old.

"There are eight channels that are divided into categories, namely channel 1, namely children's kids zone, namely minors 7 to 10, elementary school. Then junior high school, high school, to college," said Alvin.

Alvin also said that in carrying out the action, the perpetrator set a tariff of Rp. 150,000 for people who want to be members of his Telegram account. He has been in action since July 2024. The profit reached Rp. 80 million.

"For the person concerned himself, it has been 8 months to carry out this pornographic content sale and purchase activity. The profit is, Rp 80 million has been obtained," he said.
