Ahead Of The Congress, Jakarta Democrats Express That They Want AHY To Return To Lead The Party

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Democratic Party's management voiced its support for the Chairman of the Democratic Party Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) to return to lead the party in the 2025-2030 period.

This was revealed by the Chairman of the South Jakarta Democratic DPC, Zainah Alhaddad ahead of the Democratic Party's VI Congress on February 24-25, 2025 at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Ballroom, Pacific Place, Jakarta.

Congress will discuss a number of main agendas, including accountability reports (LPJ) for the achievements and hard work of management over the past five years as well as the election of the General Chairperson (Ketum) of the Democratic Party for the next period.

Zainah assessed that the son of the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) was a figure who was able to increase party electability.

"AHY is also a political figure whose InshaAllah will shine even more with the current government performance, which of course will take the democratic party to the peak of electability," said Zainah in her statement, Friday, February 21.

Zainah also said that AHY was quite consistent in wanting to help micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to advance to class.

"Mas AHY has always consistently helped MSMEs to be developed into superior products so that they have a positive impact on competitiveness to the Indonesian economy," said Zainah.

The chairman of the DPD of the Jakarta Democratic Party, Mujiyono, confirmed that his party together with six DPC (Basic Leadership Council) of the Democratic Party throughout Jakarta had agreed to support Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) again leading the party.

"Alhamdulillah, we Jakarta Democrats together with 6 Democratic Party DPCs throughout Jakarta have unanimous voices to fully support Mas Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono as Chairman of the Democratic Party for the period 2025-2030," explained Mujiyono.

In the midst of various political attacks, said Mujiyono, AHY was able to bring the Democratic Party back to government. He said that currently the party is getting more solid, although previously it had faced attacks from groups that were considered traitors.

" AHY's performance in government is increasingly proven to be able to encourage the welfare of the community, with a focus on increasing human resources, empowering youth, community welfare to socio-economic problems," he added.
