JAKARTA - President Mahmoud Abbas on Thursday evening affirmed Palestinian leadership's firmness towards Israel's forced transfer plan targeting the Palestinian people, reaffirming its commitment to ensuring the protection of Palestinian national rights and the unity of Palestinian territories.

Speaking at the opening of the 12th regular session of the Fatah Revolutionary Council, held in Ramallah, President Abbas reiterated the Palestinian leadership's firm position towards Israel's efforts to forcefully move the Palestinian people.

President Abbas stressed that most of the international community supports this position, rejecting this forced transfer plan.

"We will continue to strive to establish a ceasefire, ensure the flow of humanitarian aid, and ensure the Palestinian State bears responsibility in Gaza, while maintaining the unity of the Palestinian territories," the President said, launching WAFA on February 22.

President Abbas further pointed out that the Palestinian State security team had started their work at the Rafah and Karm Abu Salem border crossings, strengthening the presence and operation of the Palestinian Government in the region.

On the occasion President Abbas reiterated the importance of a two-state solution, calling for urgent international cooperation to end Israel's occupation.

"We will continue our efforts in international forums, in collaboration with our Arab and international allies, to encourage the recognition of Palestine as a full member state of the United Nations," President Abbas said.

In addition, President Abbas also announced plans to hold a major international peace conference in New York in June, chaired by Saudi Arabia and France, to advance a two-state solution.

Regarding the issue of the United Nations Aid and Work Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA), the President strongly condemned Israel's attempts to undermine the agency's work, emphasizing its vital role as an irreplaceable UN organization.

"We reiterate once again the important role of UNRWA as an irreplaceable UN organization, and it is very important to prevent the occupation from damaging its operations," he explained.

President Abbas also emphasized his rejection of Israeli practices, including expansion of settlements, seizure of land, and violence against Palestinians in the West Bank and Jerusalem.

He noted that while Israeli forces had actively hindered efforts to enforce the rule of law in Jenin and other areas, Palestinian security forces would continue their mission to maintain peace and security in these areas.

"We are determined to support the refugees, restore homes to those affected in Gaza, Jenin, Tulkarem, and Tubas, and provide essential services for those in need," President Abbas stressed, acknowledging the terrible conditions faced by families who lost their homes and children who lost their parents.
