Riau Police Hunt For 9.8 Kg Of Crystal Methamphetamine Owner And 30 Thousand Ecstasy Pills

PekanBARU - Riau Police are still hunting for the owner of 10 large packs of methamphetamine weighing 9.8 kilograms and 30 thousand ecstasy pills on Jalan Lintas Maredan, Pelalawan Regency.

Director of the Narcotics Directorate of the Riau Police, Kombes Putu Yudha Prawira, explained that the drugs were secured from the perpetrators when they were about to be taken to Palembang, South Sumatra, Monday (10/2).

The first arrest, the police arrested three people, namely ZM (30), AF (23), and SA (28).

"However, at that time there was no evidence of drugs found at this location. Based on ZM's cell phone examination, it was found that they were tasked with monitoring the road," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, February 20.

The three of them acted as lane monitoring to ensure whether or not the narcotics delivery trip was safe from being monitored by officers.

Based on information obtained from the three, the opsnal team then moved to the second location in the parking lot of a mosque on Jalan Lintas Maredan, Bandar Sei Kijang District.

There, the police arrested DS (37) and MH (34), who were suspected of being involved in narcotics shipments. From their vehicle, they found a large bag containing 10 packs of methamphetamine from Guang Ying Wang and six large packs of ecstasy pills with a total of about 30 thousand pills.

After further investigation, the police named four people as suspects, namely ZM, AF, SA, and DS. Apart from narcotics, the police also confiscated two units of Daihatsu Sigra car used in this action.
