Bobby Nasution On The Inauguration Of 961 Regional Heads Simultaneously: Facilitate Coordination

JAKARTA - North Sumatra Governor Muhammad Afif Bobby Nasution said that the regional head inauguration held simultaneously by President Prabowo Subianto made it easier to coordinate to build a better government wheel.

This was conveyed by Bobby after undergoing the inauguration of 961 regional heads and deputy heads led by President Prabowo at the Jakarta Palace, Thursday, February 20.

"The spirit of togetherness is very visible here, the regional elections are both running simultaneously, the government is running together so that it will facilitate coordination," he said.

Bobby participated in the simultaneous regional head inauguration procession which was held at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Thursday.

At the inauguration, Joko Widodo's 7th son-in-law was accompanied by his wife Kahiyang Ayu and her three children and the Deputy Governor of North Sumatra, Surya who was also accompanied by his wife and family.

The former mayor of Medan became one of the youngest governors in Indonesia who was inaugurated by President Prabowo Subianto aged 33 years and 7 months.

Even though he is quite young from other governors, Bobby emphasized that his performance is not inferior to other seniors and will improve his performance while serving as Governor of North Sumatra for the period 2025-2030.

"Hopefully with a label like that, I will increase my work spirit," said Bobby.

Being the top leadership in North Sumatra, M. Bobby Afif Nasution and Surya have 5 main visions and missions. Their five main visions and missions include improving human resources, maintaining macroeconomic stability, improving government governance, developing and managing infrastructure, and strengthening national resilience.

Meanwhile, Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto stated that the inauguration of 961 regional heads and deputy regional heads who were elected in the simultaneous inauguration on Thursday became a historic moment for Indonesia.

"I think this is a historic moment. For the first time in our country, we have appointed 33 governors, 33 deputy governors, 363 regents, 362 deputy regents, 85 mayors, 85 deputy mayors, with a total of 961 regional heads from 481 regions," said President Prabowo Subianto.

According to the Head of State, the inauguration of this official is the first time hundreds of regional leaders have been inaugurated simultaneously by the President.

"Ladies and gentlemen, first of all, I would like to congratulate you on your inauguration. I also want to congratulate you on the mandate given by the people from their respective regions and on the election of brothers and sisters to become regional heads," he said.
