Regional Head 961 Inauguration Ceremony, Six Representatives Receive Rank Signs Direct From Prabowo

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto pinned a power sign to six regional head representatives during the simultaneous inauguration procession of 961 regional heads at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Thursday, February 20.

According to ANTARA's monitoring, the transfer of power marks took place after the President took the oath of all regional heads who were sworn in today.

The six regional heads who received a rank sign from President Prabowo were the Governor of Lampung Rahmat Mirzani Djausal, the Governor of North Maluku Sherly Tjoanda, the Regent of Karangasem I Gusti Putu Parwata, the Mayor of Manado Andrei Angouw, the Mayor of Singkawang Tjhai Chui Mie, and the Regent of Merauke Yoseph P. Gebze.

The Governor of Lampung became the first regional head to receive a rank, followed by the Governor of North Maluku, the Regent of Merauke, the Regent of Karangasem, the Mayor of Singkawang, and the Mayor of Manado. After that, the regional heads took turns signing the news of the inauguration ceremony.

After the procession for embedding and signing the minutes, the President conveyed direct directions to all newly appointed regional heads.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by leaders of political parties, leaders of legislative institutions, and ministers of the Red and White Cabinet.

A total of 961 regional heads consisting of 33 governors and 33 deputy governors, 363 regents and 362 deputy regents, as well as 85 mayors and 85 deputy mayors were appointed simultaneously at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta. They will carry out a term of office for the next five years.

Regional heads arrived at the Merdeka Palace since 09.40 WIB wearing full white ceremonial official clothes. Their arrival was accompanied by the Gita Praja IPDN Drum Band, adding to the sacredness of the inauguration ceremony.

During the inauguration procession, regional heads lined up according to the predetermined order. The pair of governors and deputy governors were in the middle row, followed by the mayor and deputy mayor on the right, as well as the regent and deputy regent on the left and back.
