Hasto Accompanied By A Number Of PDIP Politicians When Responding To KPK Calls Today

From observations in the field, Hasto arrived at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta. He was not only accompanied by his attorney but also a number of party cadres bearing the bull symbol such as the Chairman of the PDIP DPP for Honorary Affairs Komarudin Watubun, Chairman of the PDIP DPP Dedy Yevri Hanteru Sitorus to Ribka Tjiptaning who is a senior cadre.

As for Ribka and the cadres, they were detained by the KPK security team and the police at the entrance to the building. However, sympathizers helped him so that pushing each other was unavoidable.

"Even though I was colored by various practices of violating the law and intimidation, I still came to the KPK," Hasto told reporters at the location.

Hasto even accused him of having a special operation when he was about to leave for the anti-corruption commission office. This is because the bus used and ordered was suddenly canceled.

"Whether there are operations or not, what is clear is that we had tried to replace the three buses but in the end they still came so we were late," he said.

Hasto ensured that he was cooperative with the legal process of the bribery case for the interim replacement (PAW) of members of the DPR RI and the obstruction of the investigation. He is even ready to be detained.

"I am ready physically (if detained, ed)," said the politician.

However, Hasto felt that he was innocent because he was neither a state official nor caused state losses. Thus, he believes the detention will not be carried out by investigators.

"I do not serve as a state official, there is no state loss to the case that tries to be handed over to me," he said.

"So that if irregularities and abuse of power will continue to be used, I believe that the seeds of democracy, democratic fertilizers to correct wrong powers will be even greater," he continued.

Previously reported, the KPK still scheduled an examination of PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto on Thursday, February 20. He will be questioned as a suspect even though he has asked for a postponement of the examination for filing a pretrial for the second time to the South Jakarta District Court (PN).

“Tetap terjadwal (pemeriksaan, red),” kata Tessa yang dikutip pada Kamis, 20 Februari.

Adapun komisi antirasuah mengembangkan kasus suap pergantian antar waktu (PAW) yang menjerat eks Komisioner KPU Wahyu Setiawan dan buronannya, Harun Masiku. Dua orang kemudian ditetapkan sebagai tersangka, yakni Sekjen PDIP Hasto Kristiyanto dan Donny Tri Istiqomah yang merupakan kader PDIP sekaligus pengacara.

Hasto is also a suspect in the obstruction of the investigation. He is suspected of trying to obstruct the legal process, one of which is by asking Harun to damage his cellphone and run away after the arrest operation (OTT) was carried out.
