Train Accident: The Father Helped His Critical Son After Being Hit By A Train, But Finally Died

JAKARTA - A middle-aged man continued to hug his bleeding son E (15) after becoming a victim of a train accident (KA) at the crossing at Pondok Jati Station, Palmeriam Village, Matraman District, East Jakarta on Wednesday night, February 19.

Kevin, E's twin brother, said his father's clothes were covered in blood for hugging his twin brother who was hit by a train while crossing the railroad tracks using a motorbike with his father.

"Earlier I had time to live, my twin carrying father sought help from KAI officers but there was no help. Finally died," Kevin told VOI at the location, Wednesday night, February 19.

Victim E was finally brought to the front of the Pondok Jati Station counter from the scene which was more than 20 meters away.

"It took a long time for no one to provide assistance, even though he was still alive. If he was helped quickly, he might be able to survive my twin," he said with an emotional tone and sad tone.

Kevin explained that his father continued to scream for help from KAI officers who were on guard at Pondok Jati Station. However, neither KAI nor local residents only watched, no one provided help quickly.

Until finally victim E had to die in his father's arms in front of the ticket sales counter for the Pondok Jati Station, Matraman.

Previously, the Pondok Jati train crossing (KA), Matraman, East Jakarta, again claimed lives on Wednesday, February 19, evening.

This time, the victim came from a motorbike passenger who was stuck in traffic at the Pondok Jati train crossing. The victim had the initials E (15) a junior high school student in East Jakarta. He was killed by a freight train from the direction of Jatinegara.

The incident occurred around 19.00 WIB. According to Kevin, the victim's twin brother, the incident occurred when his father and his twin brother (the victim died) were crossing the railroad crossing.

"My sister was riding with my father on a motorbike. The motorbike was stuck at the crossing because there was a car stopped (trapped in a traffic jam) in front of the car. Then the train came and was hit by a train," Kevin told reporters at the scene.

The motorbike driven by the victim came from the direction of the wood orangutan to Jalan Raya Matraman. When the motorbike passed at the railroad crossing, there was a traffic jam.

Not only did the motorbike driven by the victim's father who was stuck in traffic jams, the car was also stuck in traffic jams. The car was also hit by a train but the driver survived, while the car only suffered abrasions.

"Because in front of there is a car so the motorbike can't move. It was hit by a train," he said.

The deadly collision that occurred at the railroad crossing (KA) Pondok Jati Station, Palmeriam Village, Matraman District, East Jakarta caused two motorbikes and a ringsek carry pickup car.

The three vehicles were hit by a freight transport train that came to Jatinegara Station on Wednesday, February 19, evening.

As a result of the deadly accident, 4 motorcyclists and cars became victims.

The victim who died with the initials E (15), the victim with the initials DI was critical and the other two victims with the initials MN and S managed to survive because they got out of the car.

After being hit by a train, the Carry car driven by MN was towed by a East Jakarta fire engine.
