Jabat Mendikti Brian Yuliarto Focuses On Developing Human Resources, Satryo Returns To Being A Scientist

In his remarks, Minister of Education Brian Yuliarto emphasized that he would focus on developing human resources (HR) to support Astra Cita, President Prabowo Subianto's strategic program.

The arrival of Brian Yuliarto was warmly welcomed by Satryo Soemantri Brodjonegoro, who was waiting at the location. The handover of the position took place behind closed doors, marking the official end of Satryo's term.

Satryo stated that he had sincerely submitted his duties to Brian and was relieved after officially resigning. "I'm sincere. Earlier at 02.00 WIB I submitted my resignation letter to the president. I've been carrying out my duties for four months as well as possible. Now, I leave it to Mr. Brian," said Satryo.

Furthermore, he revealed that after completing his duties, he would return to being a scientist and focus on doing research for the advancement of Indonesia. "Illustrators work never ends. What is important is to provide works that are beneficial to society, nation and state," he added.

Meanwhile, Minister of Education Brian Yuliarto said that the initial step was to consolidate with the ranks of the Ministry of Education and Technology to ensure the continuation of strategic programs.

"Mr. Satryo said that we need to optimize the President's strategic programs. Dikti Saintek has an important role in supporting programs such as food self-sufficiency, energy, and technological innovation. We will accelerate consolidation so that all programs can run optimally," said Brian.

Sebelum menjabat sebagai Mendikti, Brian Yuliarto adalah seorang Guru Besar di Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) dengan keahlian di bidang teknologi nano dan kuantum.

Ia juga merupakan penerima penghargaan Habibie Prize 2024 dalam kategori Ilmu Rekayasa, sebuah pencapaian bergengsi yang menegaskan kontribusinya dalam dunia riset dan teknologi.

With a strong academic background and research experience, Minister of Higher Education Brian Yuliarto is expected to be able to bring innovations in the higher education and technology sectors in Indonesia.
