KPK Ensures Hasto Becomes A Suspect Through The Expos Process At The Enforcement Level To Leaders

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has confirmed that the determination of the Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto as a suspect is not a form of politicization or criminalization. This legal status is said to be in accordance with the process and procedures.

"There is an SOP starting from exposure at the level of prosecution to the leadership expos that there must be at least two pieces of evidence called sufficient preliminary evidence," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardhika to reporters quoted on Thursday, February 20.

Tessa also said that all the evidence owned by investigators had been revealed when Hasto sued the KPK through pretrial. "In the first trial there has been a lot of evidence presented by the legal bureau team," he said.

It was this evidence that later ensnared Hasto as a suspect. "So the determination of the suspect, brother HK, is not part of politicization of power," said the spokesman with the investigator's background.

Previously reported, PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto accused the KPK of targeting him, who has now been named a suspect in bribery and obstruction to the investigation of the Harun Masiku case. He considered that there was a political interest from one of the KPK investigators, namely Rossa Purbo Bekti, in investigating this case.

Rossa is suspected of intimidating related parties in the law enforcement process. "Why not only the targets, then the processes, to the point of unlawfully violating, were carried out by Rossa Purbo Bekti, who used the KPK for his narrow interests?" said Hasto at the PDIP DPP office, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, February 18.

Hasto also wondered if any particular party used this case through Rossa to make himself guilty in the Harun Masiku case.
