JAKARTA - Kazakhstan will establish contact with Ukraine to avoid repeated attacks by Ukrainian drones this week in southern Russia that hit Kazakhstan's main oil export pipeline station.
The attack on a station belonging to the Kaspia Pipe Consortium (CPC) took place on Monday ahead of talks between US and Russian officials over ending the war in Ukraine.
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said the flow of oil through the CPC had fallen by about 30-40 percent due to the damage caused, and repairs may take several months.
