The West Nusa Tenggara High Prosecutor's Office examined at least five witnesses in the alleged corruption case of the Great Mosque construction project in Bima Regency which cost Rp. 78 billion.

Head of the NTB Prosecutor's Office, Enen Saribanon, emphasized that the examination of this witness is still ongoing at the investigation stage in the field of special crimes.

"For the Great Mosque of Bima, we are still conducting investigations, to this day we have conducted examinations of tax parties, PPK, experts, heads of PUPR services, contractors, many," said Enen in Mataram, Antara, Tuesday, February 18.

In addition to asking for information from parties who know and are involved in project work, the prosecutor's office also coordinates with an auditor from the NTB Representative Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP).

As for the request for information to the former Bima Regent who is now the elected Deputy Governor of NTB, namely Indah Dhamayanti Putri, Enen said that his party had not seen any involvement in the project work.

"Until now, we have not scheduled an inspection. However, we think if it is needed, we will call," he said.

The handling of this case was previously recorded under the control of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) which followed up on public reports.

The KPK through the function of the Regional V Coordination and Supervision Task Force (Korsup) is also noted to have carried out direct physical checks on the project to build the place of worship.

In mid-2024, the Regional V Korsup Task Force then coordinated and supervised with the NTB Prosecutor's Office regarding the problems that occurred in NTB, one of which was the alleged corruption in the work of the Great Mosque Bima project.

At the end of 2024, Kajati NTB Enen Saribanon announced that following up on coordination and supervision with the KPK, his party conducted a review to see elements of unlawful acts in project work.

If there are findings of elements of unlawful acts, Enen at that time promised to take legal steps in 2025.

The physical project was previously recorded as part of the findings of the NTB Supreme Audit Agency (BPK). From the results of the examination, there were allegations of budget irregularities worth Rp. 8.4 billion.

The work of this physical project was revealed by the results of operational cooperation (KSO) between PT Brahmakerta Adiwira and PT Budimas. Enen said that the company was domiciled in Dompu Regency.
