JAKARTA The demonstration of online motorcycle taxi drivers (ojol) in front of the Ministry of Manpower office in Kuningan, South Jakarta, Monday, February 17, went smoothly. At the ojol driver, he was finally able to sit down together with the Minister of Manpower (Menaker) Yassierli and the Deputy Minister of Manpower (Wamen Kemnaker) Immanuel Ebenezer Gerungan.

On that occasion, ojol drivers expressed their complaints and hopes in front of Minister Yassierli.

Reza, one of the ojol drivers, said that so far there has been an imbalance between the applicator and the driver.

Reza said that he had received sanctions from the applicator for being late in delivering packages to consumers.

"I am Reza, from the Indonesian Transport Workers Union, representing online couriers. I just told you how many weeks ago, I was carrying a package, my motorbike broke down, was late in delivery and was suspended for three days," Reza said when delivering a complaint to the Minister of Manpower, Monday, February 17.

As a result of the sentence from the applicator, he was unable to work and could not support his family at home.

"For 3 days, I didn't get any income," he said.

Reza hopes that this year's holiday allowance (THR) can be realized so that it can make the family happy.

"So, in my opinion, this THR provides enough hope for us to prosper online couriers, online motorcycle taxis, and other drivers again," he said.

The same thing was said, Hamid. He expressed his hopes regarding the THR for this year.

As long as he works as an ojol driver, he cannot make his wife and children happy because of his small income.

"THR is a wish or wish for me, is this realized or not? Even my wife's children also hope, 'Sir, can't THR come from Gojek?' That's why my wife asked, 'Did you come to this demonstration?', ' sure come. Which is the result of this action for you', said Hamid.
