Warteg Ludes Burns Due To Leaking Gas Regulators, Some Employees Fainted

JAKARTA - A fire engulfed a Warteg on Jalan Kramat Pulo Dalam, Senen, Central Jakarta. An employee fainted due to inhaling thick smoke and had to be rushed to the hospital.

The fire broke out so fast. The fire was first seen from the kitchen before it grew and spread throughout the room.

According to Rizal's statement, there were four people in the warteg when the incident occurred

Although the owner and employee managed to save themselves, one of the employees was unable to withstand the thick puffs of smoke until he finally fainted.

The fire brigade team that arrived at the location immediately tried to tame the fire so as not to spread to other buildings.

After struggling for half an hour, the fire was successfully extinguished. However, the Warteg building and all its contents were burned down. Losses are estimated at hundreds of millions of rupiah.

"Alhamdulillah, we can overcome the 15 minutes of the fire. Everything that caught fire, one warteg ran out. One of the employees wanted to install the regulator, it was leaked, finally grabbed and the fire grew," said Mulandono, a Central Jakarta Firefighter, at the scene.
