Bekasi Sea Fence: Bareskrim Calls 93 SHM Faked Until It Occurs In 2 Villages

JAKARTA - The case of alleged forgery of land certificates related to the sea fence in Bekasi waters, West Java, is still being investigated. Recently, the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police stated that 93 Ownership Certificates (SHM) were allegedly falsified.

"The data and facts are obtained that it is suspected that the modus operandi carried out by the individuals or perpetrators is to change the data of 93 SHM," said Director of General Crimes at Bareskrim Polri, Brigadier General Djuhandani Rahardjo Puro to reporters, Friday, February 14.

This was revealed after the examination process of several witnesses, including the reporter, chairman and members of the former committee for the adjudication of Complete Systematic Land Registration (PTSL), officials of the Bekasi Regency land office and employees at the Inspectorate General of the Ministry of ATR BPN.

The mode used in this case is different from the forgery that occurred in the Tangerang Regency area. The perpetrators are said to have changed the name of the rights holder, object, and location. In fact, the extensive data listed by the deed was also changed by the perpetrators.

"The forgery was carried out after the issuance of the original certificate in the name of the valid rights holder, then it was changed in such a way to the name of the new, illegal rights holder, following changes to the area data and location of the certificate object," he said.

From the results of the temporary investigation, new facts were also found about the forgery action also occurred in other locations adjacent to Huripjaya Village, Babelan District, Bekasi Regency, West Java. Thus, further investigations will continue.

"While we will explore it, namely there is another act in other villages, namely in Huripjaya village, where the villages of Huripjaya Jaya and Segarajaya are close to one sub-district," he explained.

The forgery was allegedly related to PT Mega Agung Nusantara. However, to make sure it needs further investigation with authentic evidence.

"It is related to what we are currently presumptioning of innocence, it is related to PT Mega Agung Nusantara, this is what we will investigate later," said Djuhandani.
