At The World Forum, Prabowo Calls Free Nutrition Eating Investments For The Future Of The Republic Of Indonesia

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto stated that the free nutritious food (MBG) run by his government is a simple program, but becomes a significant investment for the nation's future.

This was conveyed by President Prabowo in his speech at the World Governments Summit 2025, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Friday (14/2/2025). Prabowo was not present in the world forum. He gave a video speech which was also broadcast by the Presidential Secretariat YouTube channel

"Providing nutritious food every day may seem simple, but when applied to hundreds of thousands of schools, to be precise 330,000 schools, from remote villages to crowded city centers, it becomes a significant investment for our future," said Prabowo.

President Prabowo explained that the free nutritious food program targets more than 85 million children, as well as pregnant women in Indonesia.

In addition to eating free nutritious, Prabowo also explained the free Health Check initiative program in order to support quality human resources towards Indonesia Gold 2045.

"The goal is to improve the prevention and early detection of health problems, encourage the creation of healthier and more productive people, and save a lot of money," Prabowo said as quoted by ANTARA.

Prabowo also revealed that his government managed to streamline a budget of more than 20 billion US dollars or the equivalent of 10% of the annual state budget.

The efficiency of programs that are considered less productive, said Prabowo, will be allocated to finance more than 20 strategic projects worth billions of dollars that will change Indonesia.

"Good financial management is very important to realize these initiatives. Through careful management of state funds, we have saved more than 20 billion US dollars," Prabowo said.
