Bali Satpol PP Refuses To Watch The Temporary Closing Of The Finns Beach Club Before The Integrated Team

DENPASAR - Bali Satpol PP stated that they would first boost with an integrated team of regional apparatus before complying with the direction of the Bali DPRD to monitor the Finns Beach Club which was requested to be temporarily closed.

"We will push first with the integrated team to get the follow-up formulation as to what," said Head of Bali Satpol PP I Dewa Nyoman Rai Dharmadi as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, February 13.

"This is a new verbal recommendation submitted and agreed by Commission I of the Bali DPRD earlier, of course we will report it first," he continued after a meeting with the Bali DPRD.

It is known that the case of the Finns beach club originated in a blasphemy case for performing a massive fireworks display on Berawa Beach when Hindus were praying in October 2024.

After further investigation, the efforts of this foreign investment (PMA) committed many licensing violations, and were only asked to process these various permits within 60 days.

However, until now, more than 90 days of AMDAL or environmental permits have not been fulfilled, so the Bali DPRD asked the beach club to temporarily close until permission was issued from the center.

The head of the Bali Satpol PP then explained that it took time for Fens to apply for an AMDAL permit, they themselves had asked the club to take care of permits since October.

"We respect the process, it really can't be completed in one month because the AMDAL is indeed quite long, at the beginning they developed this since childhood, so it's big like now AMDAL should adjust it," said Rai.

Instead of implementing the council's recommendation to temporarily close the Finns and supervise them, Rai emphasized that they wanted to decide with the integrated team including the tourism office, the environmental and forestry service, the licensing office, the trade office, and the traditional community promotion office.

In addition, the Bali Satpol PP will wait for direct directions from the Acting Governor of Bali, while from Parisada Hindu Dharma Indonesia (PHDI) it is only for consideration because it is not included in the integrated team to decide this.
