Minister Of Social Affairs: Budget Adjustments Don't Disturb Public Services

JAKARTA - Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf (Mensos Gus Ipul) ensures that budget adjustments in accordance with Presidential Instruction (Inpres) Number 1 of 2025 concerning Expenditure Efficiency in the Implementation of the 2025 APBN and APBD will not interfere with the performance of his ministry.

"The intention in carrying out efficiency is not to interfere with public services," said the Minister of Social Affairs during a Working Meeting (Raker) with Commission VIII of the DPR as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, February 13.

In addition, the Minister of Social Affairs also ensured that he would not reduce the social assistance budget (bansos) given directly to the community, the operational budget attached to social assistance, to the salaries of employees and honorariums for assistants for the year.

He also emphasized that this efficiency would not reduce the quality and work spirit of the Ministry of Social Affairs.

The Minister of Social Affairs explained that the Ministry of Social's budget posture in 2025 was IDR 79,588,005,512,000.

This amount is planned to be used for the Social Protection Program as much as Rp. 78,422,641,676,000 and the Management Support Program of Rp. 1,165,363,836,000.

He detailed that the Social Protection Program consists of the Family Hope Program (PKH) and Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT) social assistance, while the Management Support Program is in the form of salaries and allowances, supervision, and secretariat services.

The Minister of Social Affairs continued the efficiency of the 2025 budget at the Ministry of Social Affairs, which was IDR 1,326,795,000,000. Then, there was an adjustment to the reconstruction budget to IDR 970,001,812,000.

"The complete efficiency of the reconstruction budget adjustment is Rp356,793,188,000," he added.

He also conveyed that the amount was intended for Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) in goods expenditures, the deployment of Perlinsos Disaster Management officers, operational costs for empowering remote indigenous communities and social entrepreneurship, to maintaining machine equipment and building buildings and capital expenditures for 66 Satkers.

"Furthermore, we ask for support from Commission VIII of the DPR RI, so that the implementation of social welfare can be carried out properly," said the Minister of Social Affairs.
