JAKARTA - United States (US) President Donald Trump is scheduled to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Saudi Arabia.

This was revealed by Trump after a nearly 90-minute phone conversation with Putin, both of which discussed how to end Russia's three-year attack in Ukraine.

"We hope to meet. In fact, we hope he will come here, and I will go there, and we may also meet in Saudi Arabia for the first time, we will meet in Saudi Arabia, see if we can get something done," Trump told reporters in the Oval Room. , USA, quoted from Arab News, Thursday 13 February.

However, the date of the plans for the two leaders to meet has not yet been set. However, Trump said his certainty would be mentioned shortly.

According to Trump, he suggested the involvement of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in his meeting with Putin.

"We know the crown prince, and I think it would be a very good place to meet," he said.

Earlier, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Putin had publicly invited Trump and officials from the US government to visit Russia to discuss Ukraine.

"The Russian president invited the US president to visit Moscow and expressed his readiness to accept American officials in Russia in areas of common interest, including, of course, the topic of Ukraine's settlement," Peskov said.
