Commissioning is a testing and inspection process to ensure the system and equipment function according to specifications. This process started last weekend.

Project Manager Pembangunan RDF Plant Jakarta KSO Wika-Jaya Konstruksi, Angga Bagus apologized for the incident.

"We are very sorry for the incident that was felt by residents around the RDF Plant Jakarta. We ensure that the incident does not happen again, and will take preventive steps so that similar incidents do not happen again," Angga said in his statement, Thursday, February 13.

Angga explained that the leaking of an unpleasant odor in the commissioning process of this waste processing facility into fuel occurred due to the preparation process (set up) of the Advanced Oxidation Process (AOP) unit at the deodorizer, which at that time was not fully operational.

Currently, Angga claims the entire system has been running perfectly and is ready to operate optimally.

The tuning process of this odor and smoke control equipment has caused the equipment to not work optimally. If the set-up is complete, it will definitely work well," explained Angga.

To overcome the incident, the RDF Plant Jakarta technical team evaluated the work of the deodorizer system so that this facility could operate according to environmental standards.

"In the future, we ensure that all odor control technology will work optimally, so that the Jakarta RDF Plant can operate without negative impacts on the surrounding community," he added.
