Prabowo Arrives At Bogor Palace To Welcome Turkish President Erdogan

Elementary school students accompanied by their teachers carried the Indonesian and Turkish flags to welcome Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the Bogor Palace (ANTARA)

ANTARA's report from around the Main Gate of the Bogor Palace reported that the Head of State entered Bogor City via Baranangsiang, then to Jalan Otista, continued to Jalan Juanda, and entered the Bogor Palace through the Main Gate.

President Prabowo entered the Bogor Palace at around 09.37 WIB.

The general public, including elementary and junior high school students, seemed enthusiastic to look forward to the arrival of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Turkish First Lady Emine Gulbaran Erdogan to the Presidential Palace in Bogor City, West Java, Wednesday, at around 10:00 WIB to start a state visit received by Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto.

From around the Main Gate of the Bogor Palace, it was reported that the atmosphere was ahead of Erdogan's arrival.

Pangdam III Siliwangi Maj. Gen. Dadang Arif Abdurrahman, Danrem 061/Surya Kencana Brigadier General Faisol Izuddin Karimi, Bogor City Police Chief Kombes Pol Eko Prasetyo, directly led security including the flow of traffic from state guests.

Information was obtained that President Erdogan's arrival would enter Bogor City from Jalan Baranangsiang, to Tugu Kujang, then pass contraflow to Jalan Pajajaran, then left to Jalan Jalak Harupat, and then enter the Main Gate of the Bogor Palace.

Security officers carried out traffic engineering in the form of closing a number of roads around the Bogor Botanical Gardens and the Bogor Palace, namely Jalan Pajajaran, Jalan Otista, Jalan Juanda, Jalan A Yani, and Jalan Jalak Harupat.

The public and around 2,500 elementary and junior high school students enthusiastically welcomed Erdogan's arrival around the pedestrian that President Erdogan would pass. They carried the small flag of the Republic of Indonesia and Turkey.

Paspampres troops have also been on standby inside and outside the Bogor Palace.

The President and First Lady of Turkey landed at the Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, Jakarta, Tuesday (11/2) night, greeted directly under the plane's stairs by Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, in a rainy atmosphere.

Prabowo pun mendampingi Erdogan hingga satu mobil menuju tempat penginapan di sebuah hotel mewah di Jakarta.

Deputi Bidang Protokol, Pers, dan Media Sekretariat Presiden Yusuf Permana mengatakan bahwa Presiden Prabowo yang menyambut langsung kedatangan Presiden Erdogan dan Ibu Negara Emine Erdogan di Pangkalan TNI AU Halim Perdanakusuma, Jakarta, pada Selasa malam, merupakan bentuk penghormatannya kepada Presiden Erdogan.

"President Prabowo is very close to President Erdogan and welcoming him at this airport is a form of his respect for President Erdogan," Yusuf said in a written message received in Jakarta, Tuesday.

Yusuf said that President Prabowo took President Erdogan in one car to the hotel where he spent the night.
