Welcoming Erdogan, Traffic Towards The Bogor Palace Is Sterilized

Bogor City Police reminded the public that traffic in Bogor City, West Java, will experience congestion on Wednesday, February 12. This was due to the visit of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to the Bogor Presidential Palace and the celebration of Cap Go Meh (CGM) on Jalan Suryakencana.

"It will be a short match when the state guest passes. Then we will immediately run it again," said Head of the Bogor City Police Traffic Unit, Kompol Yudiono, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, February 12.

In contrast to the presidential arrival route on weekdays, the convoy of state guests after leaving the Baranangsiang Toll Road will move straight across Tugu Kujang towards Jalan Jalak Harupat, without going through Jalan Otista.

The group of vehicles will move with a contra flow system to pass through Sempur Field and enter door 1 of the Bogor Palace.

As long as the convoy of state guests passes, the flow of vehicles will be temporarily suspended and partially diverted. Vehicles from Baranangsiang will be directed to the left first to reduce congestion within the One-way System (SSA) of the Botanical Gardens route.

Vehicles from the McD Juanda intersection will be diverted to the left via Paledang to the Jembatan Merah intersection. Vehicles from the 5A integrated intersection will be detained when a series of state guest vehicles have entered KM 38 Jagorawi.

Furthermore, vehicles from Jalan Ahmad Yani to the Fountain towards Denpom will be temporarily diverted to Jalan RE Martadinata. Vehicles from the BOTR Intersection towards Warung Jambu to Amaris will be directed to the left via Jalan Pandu Raya.

Kompol Yudiono explained that the Cap Go Meh celebration will begin after the state guest visit is complete, around 13.00-14.00 WIB.

"If CGM is later after the state guest event. CGM is only Jalan Suryakencana is closed," he explained.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Bogor City Transportation Service, Marse Hendra Saputra, said that his party had prepared an alternative route for motorists to avoid congestion. The route includes Roda Street, Padasuka Street, Warung Bandrek Street, Ranggagading Street, Lawang Saketeng Street, Pedati Street, and Cincau Village Street.

In addition, officers will also ensure that no vehicles park on the side of the road along the activity route.

"We will place personnel at every isolation point together with the Traffic Unit to ensure smooth traffic," said Marse.
