MAKI Will Visit KPK And AGO To Ask For Sea Pagar Cases

TANGERANG - The Indonesian Anti-Corruption Society (MAKI) will visit the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) and the Attorney General's Office (AGO) to inquire about the progress of reports related to the sea fence case in Tangerang Regency.

MAKI Coordinator, Boyamin Saiman, plans to visit the two institutions at the end of February 2025. "Yes, both of them will visit the end of the month, the KPK and the AGO," Boyamin said when confirmed, Wednesday, February 12.

Boyamin explained that he visited the two institutions because he had reported this case to them. "Report it to both," he said.

He emphasized that if there were no developments in three months, he would file a pretrial lawsuit. "Three months it doesn't work, then sue for pretrial," he said.

Previously, MAKI suspected the involvement of parties who were annexing the sea by buying land from the community.

Boyamin said that the allegation was the basis for MAKI to report the case to the AGO on Thursday, January 30. "(The one who was reported) was several village heads, without mentioning their names and territories," said Boyamin, Sunday, January 30.

In his report, Boyamin admitted that he brought a number of pieces of evidence, ranging from documents to recording the names of the Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Nusron Wahid as a witness in this alleged corruption case.

In addition, a number of parties from the village head level to officials in the district and National Land Agency (BPN) of Tangerang Regency were also reported to the AGO.

"The important thing is to include an official report letter on allegations of corruption in the issuance of HGB and HM ownership certificates on the sea land north of Tangerang which is built by a sea fence," he added.
