Bayu explained that around 1,400 joint TNI/Polri personnel and other elements were prepared to ensure the safety of the Vice President's visit.
"The West Kalimantan Regional Police together with Kodam XII/Tpr have deployed personnel to be placed in strategic locations such as Singkawang Airport, Singkawang zero point, Mayor's Office, and along the RI 2 route in this city," he said.
Bayu said the West Kalimantan Police Chief advised all security personnel to carry out their duties with full dedication and responsibility.
"Prefer professionalism in every security measure. Let's maintain the image of West Kalimantan, especially Singkawang, as a safe and friendly tourist destination for all parties," he said.
