Agustiani Tio Asks KPK To Allow Treatment To Guangzhou After Preventing Overseas In Hasto Case

JAKARTA - Former member of the Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) Agustiani Tio Fridelina through her attorney, Army Mulyanto asked permission from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) for treatment in Guangzhou, China. He had to do treatment due to cancer.

This request arose because the KPK asked the Directorate General of Immigration to prohibit Agustiani from leaving the country since January 15. Prevention is carried out related to the obstruction case of the investigation that ensnared the Secretary General of PDIP Hasto Kristiyanto.

"The point is that the medicine for Mrs. Tio is running out. So it is time for Mrs. Tio to seek treatment in Guangzhou," Army told reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Monday, February 10.

Army said his client had written to the anti-corruption commission twice. The first submission was made on February 3.

"Today we sent a letter regarding the same matter and also conveyed it in substance," he said.

Agustiani hopes that KPK Chairman Setyo Budiyanto will be wise with the current conditions. Moreover, the Army said that his client was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Depok while waiting for permission to receive treatment abroad.

"This morning around 11 pm, Agustina Tio's client or Tio's mother was admitted to the hospital. At Opname at Mitra Keluarga Hospital, Depok. Her condition is a bit worse and this is because the medicine that should have been treated means it has run out," he said.

Meanwhile, Agustiani was said by the Army from the start that she had been treated in Guangzhou, China and had to be routine. He could not move his treatment to Indonesia because the process would repeat from the start and the cost would be big.

Moreover, the plan to seek treatment to Guangzhou is nothing new. He will also be there for a long time because the treatment time is not short.

"That's why on October 1, more or less recently, Mrs. Tio brought medicine, that's roughly the stock, it's full, up to 3 months. Well, it has been arranged, it has been dropped in February the drug will run out, and it will immediately come to Guangzhou for treatment, for treatment," he explained.

"Hopefully the KPK leadership, especially the KPK chairman, can see this very wisely from the human side. This is because of the actions of the individual, the investigators whose names are Mr. Rosa and Mr. Prayitno," concluded the Army.
