Megawati Prayers For The Indonesian People During Umrah: Safe From All Kinds Of Trials

This was conveyed by the Chairman of the PDIP DPP for Foreign Affairs Ahmad Basarah who accompanied Megawati. He said Megawati underwent Umrah after her last pilgrimage with the late Taufik Kiemas, her husband in 2012.

"As a Muslim, Mrs. Mega really understands that performing this Umrah pilgrimage is a sunnah that is full of blessings, full of grace, and I think Mrs. Mega will pray in Mecca Al Mukaromah, especially when performing Umrah," Basarah said in a written statement quoted on Monday, February 10.

Megawati is said to be offering many prayers for her father who is also the First President of the Republic of Indonesia Soekarno or Bung Karno to the family that has preceded. Then, prayers will also be sent to the community.

"First, of course, he prays for his family who have preceded, Bung Karno, Mrs. Fatmawati, then Mr. Taufik Kiemas and the entire extended family of Mrs. Megawati Soekarnoputri who has preceded us all," said Basarah.

"And of course Mrs. Mega will also definitely pray for the safety of the nation and state as well as the Indonesian people of all kinds of trials," he continued.

Basarah ensured that the General Chairperson of the PDI-P (PDIP) was ready to carry out Umrah. He will be accompanied by his son, namely the Chairman of the Indonesian Parliament Puan Maharani and her oldest son, Mohamad Rizki Pratama.

"And of course he will also pray personally. I think the prayers that have been prepared by Mrs. Mega during this Umrah pilgrimage have been prepared as well as possible," said Basarah.

Megawati and her entourage will be in the Holy Land until February 13. On February 11 he is planned to go to the Grand Mosque, Mecca.
