JAKARTA - The results of a poll by the Indonesian Survey Institute (LSI) stated that 41.6 percent of the public considered law enforcement in Indonesia to be positive in the first 100 days of President Prabowo Subianto's administration.
"When we were asked about the evaluation of law enforcement, 41.6 percent considered it very good or good. So if this is summarized, it will be a positive assessment," said LSI Executive Director Djayadi Hanan in a survey release, Sunday 9 February.
He explained that of the 41.6 percent of the people who considered positive, it consisted of 4.7 percent of respondents said law enforcement was going very well, and another 36.9 percent said well.
On the other hand, there are 30.9 percent of the population who think law enforcement is moderate or mediocre, while 21.7 percent think it is bad, and 3.4 percent think it is very bad.
According to Djayadi, the findings are a good record that must be considered by the government. This is considering that although the number of law enforcement has gone well, there are still many respondents who think it is bad.
"Those who think it is positive have not reached 50 percent. This means that it is not yet the majority, while more than a quarter of our people think that law enforcement is bad," he said as quoted by ANTARA.
The trend of national law enforcement conditions in January 2025 increased by 3.2 percent compared to the January 2024 period. In the same month last year, the total number of respondents who stated that law enforcement was good was 38.4 percent.
