Instead Of TGUPP, Pramono Will Lift 7 Staff After Being Inaugurated As Governor Of Jakarta

JAKARTA - Jakarta Governor elected Pramono Anung admitted that he would appoint 7 special staff (stafsus) to assist him after being inaugurated as Governor of DKI Jakarta for the period 2025-2030.

Pramono emphasized that the staff he would hire were different from the Governor's Team for the Acceleration of Development (TGUPP) in the era of Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) and Anies Baswedan when he was Governor of DKI.

"I will have 7 special staff, but of course there are expert staff and I will not use or not use what is called TGUPP," Pramono said during a visit to DKI Jakarta City Hall, Tuesday, February 4.

The appointment of staff for himself and Rano Karno as Deputy Governor of DKI, according to Pramono, has been regulated in Law Number 2 of 2024 concerning the Province of the Special Region of Jakarta.

Where, Article 38 states that in order to assist the governor in the formulation of policies implemented by regional apparatus, the governor can appoint special staff.

"This staff is the main task of helping governors and deputy governors. Of course not ASN, and there are people who take care of me every day, take care of Bang Rano, but some professionals from 7 people. I prefer to believe in professional," explained Pramono.

Although he will use staff from those closest to him and professionals, Pramono emphasized that he is able to effectively regulate the work of the DKI Provincial Civil Servants (ASN) who are his subordinates. Remember, Pramono served as Cabinet Secretary (Seskab) for two terms.

"I am used to working with existing ASN, whoever the ASN is. So that way, hopefully this will become something that I clearly convey to the bureaucracy in Jakarta. I am not the person who then brought people from everywhere," he concluded.
