Andre Rosiade Appreciates The Support Of Commission III Of The DPR For The Death Case Of Rahmat Vaisandri

JAKARTA - Member of the Indonesian House of Representatives from the West Sumatra (West Sumatra) electoral district, Andre Rosiade, appreciated the support and attention given by Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives in the case of the death of Rahmat Vasiandri, a resident of West Sumatra who mysteriously died in the East Jakarta area.

"Alhamdulillah, it has been received in the RDPU Commission III. Thank God Commission III has given attention, provides support," said Andre, at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, January 30, 2025.

He explained that there were two points of leadership in the meeting. First, Commission III asked the East Jakarta Police Chief to evaluate the investigation of the case that occurred against Rahmat Vaisandri.

"Where Rahmat Vaisandri was persecuted on October 20, 2024, and 24 October 2024 died and for that we, our families, want this to be investigated as fairly as possible. Earlier there was a recommendation from Commission III asking the Police Chief to immediately evaluate it," he said.

Second, Commission III of the DPR also asked the Police Chief and also the Head of Propam Polda Metro Jaya to evaluate if there are problems or individuals at the Polres that must be investigated.

The reason is, it is suspected that there are efforts to obstruct investigations or allegations of manipulating the case of Rahmat's death, which is still adrift without any clarity.

"So there are many things, yes, the information from the legal team is clear that there is an allegation that this case has been manipulated, yes, as if Rahmat Vaisandri is a victim of persecution, but he is accused of being one of the perpetrators of theft. There are allegations like Iu," he said.

Therefore, he hopes that the mysterious case of Rahmat Vaisandri's death can be thoroughly investigated and fairly in accordance with the expectations of the victim's family.

"Well, of course, with the help, attention, and support of Commission III, Rahmat Vaisandri can get truth and justice, in accordance with the expectations of his family, where his parents immediately came from Lubuk Basung," Andre added.
