Acting Governor Plans To Modify Weather If Jakarta Continues To Be Showered With Extreme Rain

JAKARTA - Acting Governor of Jakarta, Teguh Setyabudi continues to monitor current weather developments. If high-intensity rain continues, then weather modifications will be made.

"If it is still extreme weather, we will take other steps, such as weather modifications," said Teguh in Jakarta, Wednesday, January 29.

In addition, the Provincial Government (Pemprov) of Jakarta will also make maximum efforts to overcome floods and inundation due to rain that has flushed Jakarta since Tuesday, January 28.

"We are trying our best to overcome or minimize the impact of this inundation. Hopefully, it will recede quickly, until early morning we will continue to work with the relevant regional apparatus together as well as regional apparatus," he said.

Even though the inundation in several locations has begun to recede, Teguh still urges all ranks to remain alert. In addition, the public is to be aware of the potential for extreme weather that may still occur.

Previously reported, rain with moderate to large intensity occurred in the Jakarta area. Thus, causing dozens of RTs and roads to be inundated.
