Kudus Flood Refugees Increase To 71 People, Acting Regent Asks For The Needs Of Pregnant Women And Elderly

JAKARTA - The number of residents of Kudus Regency, Central Java, who have been displaced due to flooding has occurred since a few days ago following the increasing rainfall because previously only nine people have now become 71 people.

"The relics who fled came from Setrokalangan Village (Kaliwungu District) as many as 58 people and the rest from Pasuruhan Lor Village (Jati District)," said Head of BPBD Kudus Mundir Daily Executive in Kudus, Friday, January 24, confiscated by Antara.

The number of refugees, he said, would continue to be updated because many chose to evacuate to their relatives' residences.

Because there are already refugees, said Herda, BPBD has also prepared logistical needs for residents affected by the flood.

In addition to instructing BPBD, he also instructed the Kusud Health Office to ensure basic needs are served and met, especially for pregnant women, toddlers, and the elderly.

"We ask the refugees to determine whether they are in good condition, so that when someone needs a local government they will still help," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of Jati Sub-district, Fiza Akbar, revealed that the number of refugees from Pasuruhan Lor Village increased to 32 from the previous 23 people in the morning.

For the soup kitchen, he said, it has been prepared, namely at the TPQ complex, Khuriyatul Fikri Pasuruhan Lor, which is a place of refuge. However, the operation is waiting for the number of refugees if a little rice packets will be purchased from the nearest food stall by the village government.

Kudus BPBD itself noted that the number of affected residents reached 3,556 people or 1,091 families, while houses were inundated to reach 185 houses spread across several villages.
