KPK Opens Opportunity To Call Djan Faridz In Harun Masiku Case

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said that former Chairman of the United Development Party (PPP) Djan Faridz had the opportunity to be summoned regarding the alleged bribery in the management of the interim replacement (PAW) of DPR members that ensnared Harun Masiku.

This was conveyed by KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardhika when asked about the search at the house having its address at Jalan Borobudur Number 26, Menteng, South Jakarta on Wednesday, January 22 evening.

According to Tessa, the decision to summon Djan is in the hands of investigators.

"Yes, if investigators feel this is necessary, then of course whoever the witnesses will be summoned for their statements," Tessa told reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Thursday, January 23.

The search at Djan's house was called Tessa because investigators had already obtained information from witness statements. From the search, investigators found a number of evidences in the form of documents to electronic items.

As previously reported, the KPK searched Djan Faridz's house, which is located at Jalan Borobudur Number 26, Menteng, Central Jakarta on Wednesday night, January 22. Investigators were there for approximately five hours or until Thursday, January 23 at 01.05 WIB.

After making a forced effort, investigators rushed with five suitcases. The details are two medium-sized suitcases, one small suitcase, one cardboard box, and a jejing bag (totebag).

The KPK developed an interim replacement bribery (PAW) case that ensnared former KPU commissioner Wahyu Setiawan and his fugitive, Harun Masiku. Two people were later named as suspects, namely PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto and Donny Tri Istiqomah who are PDIP cadres as well as lawyers.

It didn't stop there, Hasto was also a suspect in the obstruction of the investigation. He is suspected of trying to obstruct the legal process, one of which is by asking Harun to damage his cellphone and run away after the hand arrest operation (OTT) was carried out.

Until now, the KPK is still looking for Harun Masiku. The wanted list (DPO) has been updated by including a number of characteristics such as having a height of 172 cm with dark hair and mature sawo skin.

Harun is also written as having special characteristics for glasses, thinness, having a loud voice. In addition, he also speaks in a Toraja or Bugis accent.
