Didemo Pegawai, Mendikti Satryo Soemantri Brodjonegoro Talks About Mutation Issues

BANDUNG - Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology (Mendikti Saintek) Satryo Soemantri Brodjonegoro said the demonstration of ministries employees he led was due to mutation problems at the institution.

According to Satryo, the mutation was indeed necessary because of the restructuring within the ministry which had been broken down three since the leadership of President Prabowo Subianto.

"The demonstration is related to those of us who are making massive mutation efforts because of the outbreak of three ministers, we need a lot of people, we want to fix it according to the president's mandate and must be efficient with the government budget," said Satryo in Bandung, Monday, January 20, as reported by ANTARA.

Satryo said that there were parties who were not willing to be transferred, which he said sparked demonstrations at the Kemendikti Saintek office in Jakarta.

"We did quite a large mutation, because there were parties who were not willing," he said.

Regarding the news that the employee demonstrated because of Satryo's attitude, who was considered angry and likes to slap, as written in one of the demonstration banners, he denied and suspected this was in order to get public attention.

"Nothing, not true. Demonstrators are looking for something interesting, basically we are cleaning up," he said.

A total of 235 ASN Ministry of Higher Education and Technology Saintek held an action in front of their ministry office this Monday which was reportedly triggered by the sudden dismissal of an employee who was verbally carried out.

Participants took part in the front of the ministry's office while carrying banners with protest posts against the institution and Minister Satryo Soemantri Brodjonegoro.

One of the banners read 'State institutions are not private companies, Satryo and Wife!'. Then there are also those that read 'We ASN are paid by the state, working for the state, not family chapter'.

"We are more about conveying it, especially to officials or to the President who actually appointed and appointed him (Satryo Soemantri Brodjonegoro) as Minister," said Chairman of the Association of Dikti Suwitno Employees.
