West Java Police Mediation Of The GRIB-Pancasila Youth Organization, Reminded To Keep The City Of Bandung Conducive

The West Java Regional Police mediated on two community organizations (ormas) involved in the clashes on January 15, 2025, to prevent conflicts from continuing and maintain a conducive situation of security and public order (Kamtibmas) in the city of Bandung.

The Head of Public Relations of the West Java Police, Kombes Jules Abraham Abast, stated that his staff had taken various preventive steps, one of which was to bring together the two warring parties.

"We are making efforts in the form of prevention, including bringing together the warring parties and inundating the efforts to cause repeated friction," Jules said as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, January 18.

Jules said the incident began with the GRIB mass organization who visited the Pancasila Youth headquarters by destroying it to persecution.

Several four-wheeled and two-wheeled vehicles were also damaged, including office glass which was broken due to the attack.

For this incident, the police have named five suspects with the initials MJ, ZM, OP, GS, and FAS with the evidence that was secured including CCTV footage.

"There have been several witnesses examined, including the victim's witness from the PP mass organization. Besides that, evidence of CCTV footage, one bamboo stick, one lump of cement, iron rod, two machete sarongs and then a wooden branch were secured," he said.

Jules menyatakan pihaknya masih mendalami motif di balik bentrokan ini dan tidak menutup kemungkinan ada tersangka baru, mengingat hasil penyidikan masih berkembang.

"We urge the people of Bandung to remain calm and always maintain a safe and conducive Kamtibmas situation," he said.
