Slipping To Fix The Temple During Heavy Rain, Lampung Residents Lost In The Current

The joint SAR team searched for one person who was swept away by the current when the rain arrived in Teluk Betung Utara District, Bandarlampung City.

"The victim in the search named Bakthira aged 60 years is a resident of Jl KH. A Dahlan, Gg. Maulana Yusuf, Bandarlampung City," said Head of the Lampung Search and Rescue Office Deden Ridwansah as reported by ANTARA, Friday, January 13.

Based on witness testimony around the incident, the victim was dragged by the current of the river because he slipped and then fell while repairing the roof tile of the house that was leaking during heavy rain.

"The neighbors who saw the incident tried to help but because of the swift current, the victim was carried away by water. Then residents immediately reported the incident to Basarnas," he said.

Deden Ridwansah said that currently, the Lampung Search and Rescue Office team is heading to the scene to carry out SAR operations.

"The departing team is equipped with SAR equipment such as rubber boats, communication tools, and operational vehicles that are ready," he said.
