AMBON - Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka canceled his working visit to Ambon City which was previously scheduled to take place on January 15, 2025.

"In connection with the urgent state agenda that cannot be abandoned, working visits to Ambon and Merauke have been canceled," said Maluku's Head of Communication and Information Services, John Rumlawang, quoted by ANTARA Wednesday, January 15.

Initially, Vice President Gibran and his wife were scheduled to review the implementation of the Free Nutrition Food (MBG) program at SD Negeri 3 Hative Besar, Teluk Ambon District, Ambon City.

In addition, the visit is also planned to include a review of tourist villages and providing assistance to underprivileged communities.

Even without the presence of the Vice President, the MBG program continues. This program is one of President Prabowo's leading initiatives, which aims to ensure that Indonesian children receive adequate nutritional intake.

In Maluku, the MBG program has reached 14 schools with a total of 2,279 beneficiaries. Two Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) in Ambon are currently the main pillars of the implementation of the program, located in Hative Besar Country and Waiheru Village.

Vice President Gibran routinely makes visits to various regions to monitor this program, which received high enthusiasm from beneficiaries.
