JAKARTA - The daily chairman of the Gerindra Party DPP, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, confirmed the plan for a meeting between President Prabowo Subianto and PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri. However, Dasco admitted that he did not know when the exact time for the meeting of the two would be held.
According to him, this time depends on the communication built between PDIP and Gerindra. Because said Dasco, PDIP and Gerindra both sent representatives to discuss the meeting between Megawati and Prabowo.
"We don't know (when the meeting is, ed), it depends on the communication made by friends (Gerindra and PDIP)," said Dasco, Monday, January 13.
Dasco also has not received any progress from the communication that has been made. Including the issue that the meeting between Megawati and Prabowo was held before the VI PDIP Congress which is planned to be held in April 2025.
According to Dasco, the second meeting could occur when PDIP held the VI Congress, or even before and after.
"I don't know further where the progress is, but maybe it's leading to that," said Dasco.
"So maybe if it is intense, maybe it can or then before or after (PDIP Congress)," he concluded.
