NTB - The Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) Representative of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) stated that there was a state financial loss in the case of alleged corruption in the lease of heavy equipment belonging to the Lombok Provincial Road Maintenance Center at the NTB Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR).

"So, from the results of our joint exposure, investigators with BPKP NTB agreed that in this case of heavy equipment there was a loss of state finances," said Head of the Mataram Police Corruption Unit Iptu I Komang Wilandra in Mataram, NTB, Monday, January 13, confiscated by Antara.

The expose of the case, he said, took place last week. Following up on the results of the exposure, investigators are now waiting for an audit step from the NTB Representative BPKP.

"The problem of when the audit will be, we are waiting for the schedule from BPKP," he said.

Therefore, from the results of the exposure with BPKP NTB, Komang ensured that no loss value had yet emerged.

Prior to exposure with BPKP NTB, the police at the end of November 2024 had pocketed the results of witness examinations. The number of witnesses included in the investigation report was 15 people.

The dozens of witnesses who underwent the examination came from the NTB PUPR Service, road maintenance center, and the NTB Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD), including two former Heads of the NTB PUPR Service.

For Ali Fikri, the former head of the road maintenance office in charge of the heavy equipment rental cooperation agreement, the Head of the Mataram Police Satreskrim AKP Regi Halili, previously said that investigators had not conducted an examination of the person concerned.

"It's the same with the tenants, Fendy, not yet. However, we have scheduled it for both of them (Ali Fikri and Fendy)," said Regi.

Regarding the heavy equipment included in the rental object, Regi confirmed that there was only the confiscation of one excavator unit. The evidence is now entrusted by investigators at the Lombok Provincial Road Maintenance Office at the NTB PUPR Service.

"For other evidence, the truck has brought up the cement complainant machine, it is still in the field search," he said.

In handling this case, investigators have pocketed potential state financial losses with a value of at least Rp4.4 billion. The value of the loss arises from the calculation of leases that have never been deposited with the government starting from 2021 to July 2024.
