BEKASI - Police are still hunting for the perpetrator of the murder of action actor Sandy Permana, the actor Arya Soma in the soap opera Mystery of Mount Merapi 3. The alleged perpetrator, Nanang Irawan alias Gimmbal, who is the victim's neighbor, managed to avoid being chased by the police after stabbing Sandy to death on Sunday morning.

The Head of Cibarusah Police, AKP Yendrizen, revealed that the police from the Bekasi Metro Police, Cibarusah Police, and Polda Metro Jaya continued to pursue the perpetrators who were quite slippery and managed to escape after the incident.

"In the investigation, our members in the field are working. Just pray that this case will be revealed quickly," Yendrizen said on Sunday night.

The police also appealed to people who have information regarding the whereabouts of the perpetrators to immediately report to the police. Yendrizen added that several witnesses had been examined, but until now the perpetrators are still being chased.

Previously, it was reported that Nanang Irawan was suspected of being involved in a dispute with the victim, Sandy Permana, who had heated up in a community meeting in October 2024. During the meeting, the two were involved in a heated debate.

According to the head of the local RT, Sudarmadji, the dispute had escalated until Sandy planned to take legal action against Nanang Irawan.

"At that time we tried to solve the problem, but Sandy had sent a message to me and the wife of the alleged perpetrator, stating his intention to take legal action regarding the disapproval of Nanang," said Sudarmadji.

The police have collected a number of evidences and examined witnesses around the scene. However, even though the perpetrator's house is only 20 meters from the victim's house, the perpetrator is still not caught. The police continue to work hard to uncover this murder case.
