Member of Commission XII DPR Safruddin responded to complaints from people who always queue long when buying fuel oil (BBM) at public gas stations (SPBU) in Balikpapan City, East Kalimantan Province (Kaltim).
"We carried out a surprise inspection (sidak) of gas stations in Balikpapan in response to residents' complaints, as well as seeing firsthand the facts on the ground," said Safruddin after inspecting the gas station on Jalan MT Haryono in Balikpapan City, East Kalimantan, as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, December 11.
This member of the DPR for the East Kalimantan electoral district often receives complaints from the public that there are always long queues at gas stations in Balikpapan City.

Pertamina Patra Niaga's explanation for the availability of fuel supply is still adequate, he said, but the number of gas stations is still limited which has not been able to meet the needs of fuel for residents of Balikpapan City.
"The area of gas stations is also the cause of queues at gas stations, because there is a narrow accumulation of vehicles and it looks long at gas stations," he added.
Complaints from the people of Balikpapan City also fix the difficulty of finding liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), namely three kilograms of subsidized LPG.
"The explanation from Pertamina Patra Niaga, the quota for fuel and subsidized LPG is still being fulfilled, the possibility of management needs to be addressed," he explained.
