Alluding To Prabowo's Statement, The National Police Chief Calls Corruption Extraordinary Crime

JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo stated that corruption is an extraordinary crime. Thus, eradicating the crime is a shared responsibility.

The statement was made by the National Police Chief when giving a speech at the launch of the anti-corruption education book and the introduction of the Kortas Corruption Police in commemoration of Anti-Corruption Day throughout the World (Hakordia) at the PTIK building, South Jakarta.

"Corruption is certainly a special concern for the President and he said that this is an extraordinary crime problem that must be a concern for all of us," said Sigit Monday, December 9.

"All relevant stakeholders, not only law enforcement officials. But also all stakeholders who do have a shared responsibility," he continued.

National Police Chief Sigit also quoted President Prabowo Subianto's statement that corruption is still rampant. Starting from public officials to businessmen.

"There are still too many leaks, misappropriation, corruption, irregularities, collusion among political officials, government officials to all levels and rogue businessmen who are not patriotists," he said.

If corruption can be destroyed, then, the welfare of the community can be guaranteed. Of course, with various programs carried out by the ministry.

"If this happens, of course, Indonesia's hopes really have sufficient state budget that can really be used to be able to encourage programs in order to realize the welfare of the people and also realize the ideals of getting to Indonesia by 2045," said the National Police Chief.
