Hasbudi TPPU Suspect Status Canceled Via Pretrial, This Is What The Kaltara Police Say

TANJUNG SELOR - The Regional Police (Polda) of North Kalimantan (Kaltara) have not received a copy of the decision of the Tarakan City District Court (PN) on the decision to grant Hasbudi's lawsuit, a suspect in the Money Laundering (TPPU) case.

"Until today, we (Kaltara Police) have not received a copy of the pretrial decision, we will first study what the verdict looks like," said Director of Special Criminal Investigation (Dirkrimsus) Polda Kaltara Kombes Ronald Purba, Friday, December 6.

"What is clear is that we will respect the court's decision. However, we also have an obligation to resolve this case," he continued.

The settlement of cases of smuggling illegal goods and illegal mining has become a special concern for the administration of President Prabowo Subianto. Therefore, cases of smuggling Balprees and TPPU must be resolved.

The police will still develop further investigations into criminal events related to money laundering offenses during the investigation process.

"So what is clear from the main criminal incident, we will expand into the other assets. From that in his TPPU during the initial investigation process," said Ronald Purba.

Regarding Hasbudi's side who will file further legal remedies and report the investigators who are considered to be working unprofessionally, Ronald Purba respects every citizen's right.

"That's the right of citizens, yes, all citizens have rights, we respect their rights, we respect also the institutions that judge, we also have the authority," he said.

Ronald said a number of assets confiscated by his staff were still kept as evidence.

"The presidential ball has been destroyed with the ministry," he said.

Previously, the sole judge of the Tarakan District Court, Abdul Rahman, granted the pretrial of the suspect Hasbudi. In addition to canceling the status of the suspect, the sole judge also ordered the Kaltara Police Investigator to return Hasbudi's confiscated assets.
