JAKARTA - California Governor Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency in his region following an earthquake measuring 7 magnitudes on Thursday.
"I just agreed to an emergency status to allow more resources to be channeled to the venue needed for an earthquake emergency response measuring 7 magnitudes this morning. There were no reports of casualties even though local authorities issued a tsunami warning due to the earthquake.
