Convicted Of Corruption In Fictional Activities At The Ministry Of Health Arrested In Bekasi

JAKARTA - A corruption convict at the Indonesian Ministry of Health, named Nurdiana, was arrested by the Attorney General's Office's Tabur Team in Jatiwarna area, Pondok Melati, Bekasi City.

"Nurdiana is a convict who is on the wanted list (DPO) of the South Jakarta Kejari," said Ashari Syam, Kasi Penkum at the Jakarta Prosecution Service, as reported by Antara, Friday, January 22.

Nurdiana is a Civil Servant (PNS) serving as the Head of the Sub Division of Health HR Planning (PPSDM) at the Indonesian Ministry of Health.

Nurdiana is considered to have committed a criminal act of corruption together with Devi Sarah (another convict) enriched herself, abused her authority, carried out fictitious activities at the Central Office for Planning and Utilization (Pusrengun) of the Indonesian Ministry of Health's PPSDM, causing the state to suffer losses of around Rp.245.6 million .

Ashari said Nurdiana was arrested Thursday night at 22.00 WIB. When arrested the convict was cooperative and facilitated by the head of the local RT and witnessed by his neighbors.

In 2016, Mahkama Agung (MA) sentenced Nurdiana to four years in prison and a fine of Rp. 200 million, provided that if she is not paid, she will be compensated with imprisonment for six months.

In addition, the Supreme Court also imposed an additional penalty, namely paying a replacement fee of Rp. 200 million in compensation with the refund of Rp. 100 million within one month after the verdict was legally enforceable.

"If there is still unpaid replacement money, the convict is obliged to pay the rest voluntarily or confiscate his property or serve a prison sentence as stated in the court verdict," said Ashari.

Nurdiana has been designated as a DPO since 2015. Until finally she was arrested Thursday, January 21 at the Ministry of Health Complex, Jatiwarna Urban Village, Bekasi City.

Ashari added, at 22.21 WIB last night, Nurdiana was taken to the South Jakarta Kejari Office for the execution process.
