YOGYAKARTA Indonesia's export commodities to ASEAN countries turned out to be diverse. Export activities themselves are carried out to increase the country's foreign exchange. In its implementation, Indonesia's export commodities are divided into two, namely oil and gas exports and non-oil and gas.

In general, exports are activities carried out by companies or countries selling goods from within the country. Meanwhile, the subject who exports is called an exporter.

As a country with economic independence, Indonesia also carries out export activities to various countries, including countries that are members of ASEAN, namely Malaysia, Thailand, Brunei Darussalam, Vietnam, Laos, Singapore, Myanmar, the Philippines, and Cambodia.

Indonesia sells various industrial products to ASEAN countries, one of which is related to industries such as machine parts, vehicle spare parts, yarn, electronic products, and many more.

Indonesia's export activities to ASEAN countries also cannot be underestimated. Electronic exports, for example, Indonesia's exports to electronic products in the form of household needs reached USD 1.8 billion in January-September 2021. Meanwhile, Indonesia's electronic export destinations are Singapore, the Philippines, and Malaysia.

Apart from electronics, Indonesia also exports textiles. Indonesia is also widely known as textile exporter countries and textile products (TPT). Indonesian textile products are not only exported to ASEAN countries, but various developed countries also receive textiles from Indonesia.

Indonesia is an agricultural country that has various agricultural products. The agrarian sector also contributes to the country's foreign exchange through export activities to ASEAN countries. Coffee commodities, for example, the Food and Agriculture Organization or FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization) reported that Indonesia's coffee production reached 773 thousand tons throughout 2020. Meanwhile, in 2021 coffee production reached 765 thousand tons.

Coffee export activities carried out by Indonesia in ASEAN countries such as Malaysia. However, Indonesia also exports coffee to other countries such as Germany, Singapore, the Netherlands, Dubai, Qatar, and even Egypt.

Not only selling agricultural goods, Indonesia also sells oil and gas goods to several countries. Indonesia's oil and gas exports are oil.

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) noted that currently Indonesia's oil and gas export activities in June 2022 reached US$ 1.532.7 million. This figure has increased compared to the export value carried out in May 2022 which was only at US$ 1,496.1 million.

The mining products were also exported by Indonesia to various countries. One of Indonesia's mainstay mining products is coal. In fact, Indonesia is considered to have natural resources in the form of large coal.

Indonesia's coal production was proven in 2020 which reached 563.73 million tons. The coal was then sent to various ASEAN and non-ASEAN countries such as Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, China, to Japan.
