Complete Case Files For Edy Mulyadi Suspect Of 'Kalimantan Where Jin Throws Children', Will Immediately Enter Court

JAKARTA - The Attorney General's Office stated that the case file for the alleged crime of hate speech against the suspect Edy Mulyadi was declared complete in a formal and material manner (P-21).

Head of the Attorney General's Center for Legal Information, Leonard Eben Ezer Simanjuntak, said that the file was declared complete after research was carried out by the Research Prosecutor (P.16) at the Directorate of Crimes Against State Security, Public Order and Other General Crimes (Kamnegtibum and TPUL) Deputy Attorney General for Action. General Crimes (Jampidum).

"The case file was declared complete on Thursday (24/2)," Leonard said in a written statement quoted by Antara, Friday, February 25.

Leonard said that the suspect Edy Mulyadi was suspected of violating Article 45A paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 28 paragraph (2) of Law Number 19 of 2016 concerning Amendments to Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions and/or Article 14 paragraph ( 1) and (2) and/or Article 15 of Law Number 1 of 1946 concerning Criminal Law Regulations and/or Article 156 of the Criminal Code.

Jampidum has sent a notification letter that the results of the criminal case investigation on behalf of Edy Mulyadi are complete, to the Directorate of Cyber Crimes of the Indonesian Police Criminal Investigation Agency (Dittipidsiber Bareskrim Polri) on Thursday, February 24, 2022.

"The investigators of the Dittipidsiber Bareskrim Polri are asked to hand over the responsibility for the suspect and evidence to the Public Prosecutor to determine whether the case has met the requirements to be transferred to court or not," said Leonard.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Public Information Bureau (Karo Penmas) of the Public Relations Division of the Police Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan said that his party had not received information from the investigators of the Dittipidsiber of the Criminal Investigation Department of the National Police regarding the receipt of a notification letter on the results of the investigation of a criminal case on behalf of Edy Mulyadi, which was complete from the prosecutor's office.

According to him, if the prosecutor's office has declared P-21, Polri investigators have 14 days to prepare files, evidence and also suspects to be transferred to the public prosecutor or stage II.

"We have not received an answer from the investigators whether the letter from the prosecutor's office has been received, if it has been received, the investigator has 14 hearts for phase II," said Ramadhan.

Edy Mulyadi was reported to be related to hate speech containing SARA, related to his statement about the State Capital (IKN) where "jinn throw children away".
